unlock root user in ubuntu Lucid

Occorre per prima criptare la password:

echo "EnterHereYourNonEncryptedPassword" | \
perl -nle 'print crypt($_, "\$1\$".join "", \
(".", "/", 0..9, "A".."Z", "a".."z")[rand 64, \
rand 64, rand 64, rand 64, rand 64, rand 64,\
 rand 64, rand 64]);'

successivamente sblocchiamo l’utente con il comando:

sudo usermod -p PASSWORD_CRIPTATA root
